It was pretty frustrating to be at Carnoustie for last week’s Open Championship and not be playing, but I enjoyed my week working for BBC 5 Live, Sky Sports Golf / World Feed and Loch Lomond Whiskies. The whole week was brilliant and ran very smoothly indeed by everyone at the R&A
Francisco Molinari has been the best player in the world over the past few months and proved it agin by winning yesterday, which was great to see.
It was quite emotional to watch Sam Locke collect the Silver Medal for leading amateur of the week. We have been doing quite a bit of work together on the short game as well as having chats of what to expect from the week, he’s a great lad who works hard and deserves every bit of praise coming his way.
