NE Alliance Montrose

I played at Montrose this morning with Craig and Sean we had a few showers and visibility was poor but the condition of the course was top notch with the greens rolling beautifully , I only got home on Monday evening so jet lag been awful so no surprise to struggle a wee bit shooting 75+4 mind you I was only +1 playing the 17th but a triple bogey 7 finished me off , Craig had 72+1 and Sean 74+3 , really enjoyed it and looking forward to playing a few alliances this winter

I left Seoul at 10 55am arriving into Heathrow at 2pm then the 5 15pm flight up the road , it was a really good week but pretty tiring when you consider the miles we covered but really good fun , thanks to all Aberdeen asset management staff and customers I hope you all enjoyed it and hope to see you all next year

AAM golf day Korea

Today was the fourth and final golf day on our trip , we played at sky 72 GC , it's an incredible facility with 72 holes and the largest driving range in the world with 300 bays.  The course was again in fantastic condition as it had hosted the LPGA tour only last week. It has been a really good trip a little tiring but a lot of fun , I fly home tomorrow morning

AAM golf day Tokyo

We flew overnight from Sydney to Tokyo for the third golf day out of four on the trip , i had a day off on Friday which was nice as I managed to catch up on some sleep , we played at caledonia GC on Saturday which is same course we played last year which was again very nice. We then flew onto Seoul, Korea, on Saturday night for the fourth and final day.

AAM golf day Sydney

It was an early start in Melbourne this morning to fly to Sydney for our second golf day of the trip , I gave a clinic on the range late morning then we headed out onto the course.  The weather was awful with a really strong breeze blowing and some heavy showers thrown in , most of the groups began to stop playing as it was getting really heavy and not pleasant.  We brought forward the food and did a longer Q&A for everyone , despite the weather I really enjoyed visiting Sydney again massive thanks to Brett and all the team in Australia for looking after me , I flew to Tokyo overnight for our third golf day which is on Saturday which gives me a day off today

AAM Golf day Royal Melbourne

Today was our first golf day of the trip which was played at Royal Melbourne , it was pretty cool and windy this morning which I wasn't expecting but I really enjoyed playing the course again (which I havnt played since 2000) all the guests were great fun and all seemed to enjoy it

Aberdeen Asset Management golf days

I have four golf days this week for AAM, firstly in Melbourne on Wednesday then Sydney on Thursday, Tokyo on Saturday and lastly Korea on Sunday.  This is the second time I have done them with last year being great fun , mind you right now I have no idea what time it is and where I am !! Nothing new there though

Portugal masters Sunday

This week I had rounds of 71-70-74-70 for 285 +1 My tee to green was pretty good but struggled with short game and putting this week , my back held up pretty well but it was a struggle on a few occasions but it was good to get four rounds in.  It was good to have Marian and the boys as well as the Morrisons and the Reids with me this week, we've had a great time , we're staying at the Sofitel in terminal 5 tonight then I head to Australia, Japan and Korea tomorrow afternoon for golf days with Aberdeen Asset Management while the gang head home to Aberdeen

Portugal masters

We flew to faro via gatwick for this weeks Portugal masters at Victoria GC , Marian, Craig & Michael are with me this week as well as Brian & Audrey Morrison and Alan & Val Reid, which will be great fun. I wasn't in the pro am this morning so I hit some balls, did some chipping and putting then spent the afternoon at the pool with everyone.  I'm playing with Marc warren and Nicolas Colsaerts tomorrow and Friday which is a really good draw , my back feels really good and strong so looking forward to it

British Masters R1

I had to pull out this morning as my back was still really poor when I tried to hit balls on the range , frustrating doesn't cover it but not much I can do I suppose. I went to frilford Heath to watch Craig play his third round of European tour PQ1 , he played nicely and shot 70-2 to be t13 with one round to go

British Masters

Had a bad travel day yesterday with British Airways cancelling the 9 30am flight then the 12 50pm took off late , but it's all part of the fun and happens from time to time

I hurt my back this morning picking up my clubs to put them into the courtesy car , I only played 9 holes as was really struggling to get through it , I seem to be having no luck at the moment with little niggles. I was playing with Kenny Dalglish in the pro am and also met Sir Jackie Stewart for the first time who was walking round with his grandson, which was cool

Dunhill links round 3

We were at kingsbarns today which is the easiest course of the three , I really struggled on the range as my groin was pretty sore but I managed to stretch it good enough to play , I missed a lot of putts on our front nine but shot 68-4 to finish -3 overall which was 3 too many to make the cut , problem this week was on the greens where I missed too many to be competitive. Massive thanks to Martin Gilbert, my partner, for another really enjoyable Dunhill - wasn't our week but loved it all the same. Also, thanks to Dunhill for your continued support of a fantastic event

Dunhill links round 2

We were at Carnoustie today which is always a really cool place to play , I hit it really good on the range but struggled slightly on the course , I missed quite a few short putts today which is not something I normally have trouble with , the course was as always immaculate , we played the front nine into the wind then it turned and we had the back nine into the wind which was tough

Dunhill links round 1

Hit it really good today but was a little frustrated to only shoot -2 , I didn't struggle with the putter just felt I hit it better than my score , again it was beautiful weather and very little wind , we play at Carnoustie tomorrow which is always good to go back to

I was delighted to be asked to help launch the merger of the men's and ladies game in scotland , it has taken a while but it's very exciting for it to finally happen good luck to everyone involved
