Wed 26th Nov

I played at Newburgh today in the north east alliance , again we were lucky with the weather apart from one big shower playing the last hole , I shot 66-6 which was the most it could have been as I had 32 putts but the positive is I hit it really good again from tee to green , the course was in very good condition and was back tees and summer greens again which is great

I played at Buckpool this morning with son Craig,  foundation manager Michael Macdougall and Greg Mcbain in the north east alliance, I hit it nicely and putted lovely to shoot 63-7 which was a good effort , the course was in very good condition as well as back tees and summer greens , I've played some nice golf at Buckpool over the years and always enjoy playing there

At night Marian and I were invited by Stewart Spence to an evening at the Marcliffe with Stewart doing a Q&A which was very good and raised a lot of money for Cornerstone

Fri 14th Nov

I was at Murcar Links to announce our new Saltire Energy Paul Lawrie matchplay event on next years European Tour , it will be straight knockout format for the top 64 players in category ranking ,   Huge thanks to Mike Loggie of Saltire Energy who will be our main sponsor also thanks to Murcar Links for providing the course and 4sports & entertainment who will promote the event , it's something I've always wanted to do so it's very exciting to see it announced

Sunday 9th Nov

I have been hitting a lot of balls at PLGC since I got home from my trip to Asia , mainly working on getting my hands lower at impact and keeping right heel on ground longer which will help me get club more out front , I have also been in the gym a lot at home and certainly feel like I'm turning it round Marian and I were at pittodrie today to watch Aberdeen lose 2-1 to Celtic , it was almost a full house which created a good atmosphere , it was sickening to lose a late goal as 1-1 would have been fair

Wed 5th Nov

I played in the north east alliance this morning at Cruden bay with Grieg Hutcheon , Michael Macdougall and Craig , I really struggled shooting 72+3 , hutch was 66-3 , Craig 70+1 and Michael 77 nett 70 , the course was excellent especially the greens , the weather was ok apart from a heavy shower towards the end

Tues 4th Nov

I've been hitting balls most days at PLGC and have managed to play a few holes and spend some time in the gym , yesterday along with my son Craig, mate Alan Reid and foundation manager Michael MacDougall we played 9 holes at Castle Stuart then went up to Dingwall to watch Ross county v Aberdeen, the weather was awful which was a pity but I still enjoyed the day especially as we managed to get 3 points , many thanks to chairman Roy Mcgregor and everyone at Ross county for looking after us.
