Friday 25th May

BMW championship Rd2

Shot 74+2 today but hit it much better than that but 35 putts is 5 to many at this level , long game has felt very good this week but short game and putting not up to scratch Huge thanks to everyone at BMW for another fantastic event

Tuesday 24th April

BMW PGA Championship

This week is one of my favourite of the year; great venue , incredible sponsor and fantastic crowds all make is a very special tournament every year, I hit some balls today and worked for a wee while on short game , my foot has been sore again so trying to rest it as much as possible. I had a meeting with Ben Moffat who runs our new clothing company called Cardinal , he was showing me the knitwear samples which look superb , I'm playing in the morning shotgun pro am tomorrow which should be good fun.

Friday 20th May - Irish Open R2

Wee bit unlucky with the draw this week but struggled a bit anyway , shot 79 today which is poor but it was good to be back playing as its been a while , and always good to play in Ireland and was good to be back at the k club as we havn't been here for years

Thursday 19th May - Irish Open R1

It was pretty windy with some heavy showers this morning which made it pretty tough to score , I struggled off the tee but short game was decent so managed to scrape it round in 72 LVL par which was reasonable score in the conditions

Monday 16th May

I flew from Aberdeen to Dublin yesterday for this week's Dubai duty free Irish Open , we are playing at the K Club which is the first time we've been here  for a regular event since 2005 , I am staying onsite this week which is very nice indeed and only a short walk from the facilities , I played 9 holes this morning ( tues) and hit some balls , the course is immaculate as always

Saturday 14th May

Craig , Michael and I played 9 holes at PLGC Inchmarlo in the morning with Craig -5, Michael -1 and I was -2 , the course was very good, especially the greens which are fantastic. I spent the afternoon working on short game and putting at the house .

Thursday 12th May (am)

Media day PL Matchplay

I was at archerfield this morning to announce the new ticket offer for PL matchplay, which will be played from August 4-7. Anyone who buys a ticket will receive free entry to Scottish seniors open three weeks later, also being played at archerfield which is a great deal and one I hope loads of people will take up. I also had some pictures taken and myself and DJ Russell gave some juniors a short clinic which all went very well. Archerfield is a beautiful place and will be a very good venue for our second PL Matchplay

Thursday 12th May

Beatson cancer charity sportsmans dinner Glasgow

I was at the Hilton hotel in Glasgow last night for the beatson cancer charity dinner , I took part in a q&a and also had a table , we were joined by the Reids and the Morrisons as well as Caroline , Emma and Beth Hunter.  Gordon Strachan was also speaking , it was a really good night and raised just over 100k which is fantastic for a great charity

Wednesday 11th May

I played at Castle Stuart today with Mikey MacDougall, Craig and Sean, which was a practice round for Craig and Sean for our PLF pro series event the next day , and also gave me the chance to play it before AAM Scottish open in July. The course was very good and with a stiff breeze blowing it played pretty tough

Monday 9th May

Big Johnson's Tour

I played at scotscraig GC yesterday in the big johnson's tour event which was over 18 holes , I shot 69-2 in a stiff breeze which won by 2 shots from Craig Ronald. The tour is run by John Henry who is the younger brother of Scott. PLF has come onboard with them to sponsor each event as I think it's brilliant what John has managed to do already and it's important Scottish Pros have somewhere to play competitively between events.

Sunday 8th May

I played 9 holes this morning at PLGC Inchmarlo with Michael, Craig and Sean Lawrie, with myself and Michael winning by one hole 😀😀

We then watched the Aberdeen v Celtic game on the telly. Aberdeen came back well but gave themselves to much to do going 3-0 down eventually losing 3-2 to the champions.

I then popped over to PLGC Ardoe to watch and present the prizes at today's PL Foundation flag event , it was a lovely day and nice to see so many kids and parents enjoying the facilities at PLGC.

Friday 6th May

We had our annual plf sponsors day at Nairn, 5 groups of four played in a bright breezy day , the course was excellent as always with everyone having a great time , big thanks to everyone at Nairn GC for hosting us and of course massive thanks to all our plf sponsors for their continued support

Wednesday 4th May

PLF Pairs, Skibo Castle

We were up at Skibo on Wednesday for our pairs event to raise funds for our foundation , as always Skibo was looking fantastic and everyone had a great time , I gave a short game clinic after lunch then the golfers played 18 holes followed by dinner in the castle finished off with a sing along by the piano which was really good fun

Sunday 1st May

PLGC Inchmarlo

I was at PLGC Inchmarlo today to watch some of the kids play in one of our foundation flag and stableford events , it was our first official Day as running Inchmarlo so it was cool to have the Foundation there and it was a pretty nice day

Our oldest son Craig was 21 today which is amazing as time really flies , his mum managed to embarrass him with a cake and singing happy birthday at Inchmarlo

Well done and thanks to everyone who helped us getting Inchmarlo ready this week was really good of you all
