Andalucia Open 4RD 65+68+68+70=271 (-9)

I finished with a 70 today to be 9 under for the week.   I really struggled with my short game today.   I gave away four shots around the greens which is very unusual.   I also holed nothing which is a pity as there have been a lot of positives this week.   I now have two weeks off before heading to China.

Andalucia Open 2RD 65+68=133 (-7)

I didn't hit my irons quite as well today so to shoot 68 was a good effort.   Again, today when I made a bogey I followed up with birdies.   I was disappointed to bogey two of the last three holes but overall three shots back with 36 holes to play is a good position to be in.   I drove the ball really good and also holed my fair share of putts.   It would have been easy to shoot 1 or 2 over today so it's pleasing to have kept myself in the tournament.

Andalucia Open 1RD 65 (-5)

I played really nicely this morning to shoot 65 -5.   We had some showers of rain and a bit of wind.   I hit it pretty close most of the day but the best thing about today was making birdies after bogeys on two occasions.   My attitude was fantastic all day, I need to have it like that more often!

I played the pro am this morning at 8.20am.   It was cold and rainy when we started but it soon cleared up.   The greens this week are in good shape considering it's still early in the season.   I have met up with Jamil, my psychologist a fair bit this week as that's the biggest bit I need to improve.   I'm looking forward to getting back competing tomorrow.

Marian and I were up in Fraserburgh yesterday morning to watch Michael and our under 11's team, unfortunately they lost 7-3 to a very good Fraserburgh team.   We stopped in at Mintlaw Garden Centre for lunch then headed home to watch Man Utd beat Liverpool 2-1.   I fly off to Malaga this afternoon for the Open de Andalucia.

Last night we were at the Marcliffe for the Grampian Society for the Blind dinner with Christy O'Connor jnr as the speaker.   We had our friends, Colin & Wendy Fraser, Alan & Val Reid, Brian & Audrey Morrison and Graeme & Donna Lornie as our guests.   We all had a great time, the food was fantastic as always and all for a great cause.

I dropped the boys at school this morning and then hit some balls at the Kings Links.   I then headed to the Pentagon Freight offices in Dyce.   Pentagon are a new sponsor this year and their logo will appear on the right side of my hat.   I will also be attending two golf days over the course of this year.   I am very much looking forward to working with Pentagon and their staff and customers.   I then headed to Peterculter Sports Centre to announce a sponsorship between my Foundation and Footstars.   Footstars run classes for ages 3-5 years and they put on a great demonstration of their skills for me.   Keep up the good work Gwen and all your staff.

I hit balls at the Kings Links this morning and then played Royal Aberdeen with Scott Henderson and Graeme Lornie.   The course was in fantastic condition as always.   I used my new Wilson wedges today for the first time, they performed extremely well.   I played nicely shooting 5 under.   I then picked the boys up from school.

We were at the Sports Village last night for my Foundation U10's and U11's training.   While we were there I had a photo taken with two members of the Scottish training squad, Aimee Clark and Leigh Fawcett.   My Foundation have given the girls some sponsorship to help them with travelling expenses.   It's a huge commitment for the girls who travel to the central belt several times a week for training and matches and I am delighted my Foundation is able to help them out.

We had our annual junior conveners night at the Marcliffe last night, we let them see our plans for the Foundation this coming year.   It was great to see quite a few of our sponsors, we appreciate them taking the time to come along.   Our main prize winners were also there to receive their trophies.

It was cold and rainy this morning so we only hit some bunker shots then headed to the clubhouse for a coffee and a bacon roll.   We arrived back into Glasgow at 4ish then headed up the road.   It was a very good trip, we played 6 rounds in total.   I played really good which was important as I treated it as a normal playing week.   I have next week at home before heading to Malaga.

We played 27 holes today, Ross Cameron took the cash this morning with 70 -2 and I won in the afternoon with 34 -2.   It has been colder than we expected but still pretty good.   We plan to do some short game work tomorrow morning as we are flying back to Glasgow at 1.35pm.
Wednesday 10th March 2010
We played 36 holes again today, it was very cold and extremely windy at times.   We have had 18 holes matches and a tournament over 72 holes.   Scotty won this morning with a very respectable 73.  Ross Cameron and I tied in the afternoon with two under par 70's.   I just managed to squeeze the 72 holer by 23 shots. LOL!!   We watched the Man United game in the evening, great win again for Fergie's men.   We have had a great laugh and also played a lot of golf which has been brilliant.
Tuesday 9th March 2010
I drove down to Glasgow on Sunday afternoon to have tea with Adam Hunter and his wife Caroline.   It was great to spend some time with them and to see Adam looking so well.   I stayed at the Hilton that night as I flew out to Hacienda del Alamo in Murcia early on Monday morning.   I am here with Scott Henderson, Graeme Lornie and Ross Cameron to play and practise for the week.   We played 36 holes today and I shot 64, 61 playing some fantastic golf.   I also holed some nice putts so hopefully the work I have done over the winter is paying off.   It's pretty cold here but still wamer than back home, but only just!

I was at the Aberdeen Sports Village today to receive my Aberdeen Sporting Hall of Fame award.   It was a huge honour and one which I am very proud of.

So far this week I have been hitting balls at the Kings Links in one of their studios which has a heater.   I have been working on getting the club more out in front of me as it had gotten to deep of late.   It looks fantastic on the video.   I have been putting at home hitting putts on a chalk line.   I would have liked to have played a bit of golf this week but as you know it's been very frosty.
