Volvo Golf Champions 4RD 68+73+72+65=278 (-10)I had it a 9 under after 15 holes today but bogeyed the 16th and 18th which was a pity but still a very good day with loads of positives to take to Qatar. I fly tonight getting in quite late. I had my laptop on for the football yeasterday (nearly threw it through the window after 35 mins) pity but onwards and upwards.
Volvo Golf Champions 3RD 68+73+72=213 (-3)My tee off time today was 6.45am with a 5am alarm call which is never good on a Saturday but at least I'm playing. I shot 72 today which was about right as I struggled a bit. I hit loads of balls on the range afterwards, so I'm hoping it will get better soon. I played with Monty who also shot 72.
Volvo Golf Champions 2RD 68+73=141 (-3)Finished up with 73 +1 today which was unfortunately a bit unlucky as I played all right. The cut came at -2 so at least I'll be around for the weekend. The weather wasn't great today.
Volvo Golf Champions 1RD 68 (-4)A nice little round of 68 -4 this monring. I played very solid and holed a few 10 footers for par to keep it going. It was much hotter today and almost sticky at times. Little bit of pracitse now then maybe a nap!
Abu Dhabi 2RD 74+72=146 (+2)
Heavy rain and strong winds made today pretty tough. I played ok shooting a 72 to be +2 for the tournament which will probably miss the cut by a couple of shots which is a pity. I will stay here and practise all weekend, getting ready for next week in Bahrain.
Abu Dhabi 1RD 74 (+2)
I shot +2 today but actually played pretty good. I was -2 after 11 which was harsh as I missed quite a few chances. I struggled a bit coming in but two over was the most it could have been by a good couple of shots but that's the way it goes sometimes. I fell asleep yesterday afternoon and woke up at midnight which was a school boy error but if you're tired you're tired!
Congratulations to Foundation sponsored Team Penny for winning the 2011 Scottish Junior Curling Championships today they will go on to represent Scotland at the World Championships in March.
Well done boys, fantastic effort.

I have managed to hit quite a few balls this week, working mainly on rhythm and a slower changeover. I was down at Pittodrie twice this week, the second occasion was an invitation for lunch with Craig and Archie. (First name terms now lol) It was great fun and it's good to see the spirit back there.
In the afternoon I was out at Alehousewells Primary School. The kids are doing a project on me and the countries I visit. I took my clubs and the claret jug and signed some picutres and autographs for them, I also did a Q & A.
I hit balls at Deeside mainly working on my ryhythm, doing loads of pausing drills where I stop at the top of my backswing then hit it after a short pause, making sure to hit three quarter shots. I use this drill a lot as it really helps my changeover to be the correct speed.
In the evening I was asked by Brian and Eddie Morrison (Morrison Motors) to help with the draw for this year's Aberdeenshire Cup. Aberdeen manager Craig Brown was also there so it was nice to catch up with him. (class act)

We are all just back from our holiday in Dubai. We were due to fly out with BA through Heathrow but changed to Emirates from Glasgow because of the snow in London. We had a total of 15 days at the Jebel Ali Golf and Spa resort where we have been going for the last few years. We had a great time again spending the mornings on the beach followed by lunch and 9 holes. The weather was very good and it was a fantastic break with quite a bit of golf thrown in.
I have hurt my back again so will see how many balls I can hit this week before heading to Abu Dhabi.
