Thur 12th & Fri 13th Feb

Our youngest son Michael finished his prelims on Monday so I suggested we head up North for a few days with his Granda Bert and Foundation manager Michael MacDougall.   We played at Royal Dornoch on Thursday then Nairn on Friday with an overnight stay at the Kingsmills Hotel in Inverness , both courses were superb for this time of the year and the weather was lovely both days.   Huge thanks to everyone for looking after us, we all had a great time

Wed 11th Feb

I have been pretty busy this week with meetings with potential sponsors of our Saltire Energy Paul Lawrie matchplay at Murcar Links in late July

We have added Ross Kellett to our stable of players to receive funding from the foundation and will be attached to PLGC , Ross impressed me with his attitude in Portugal recently where we played a 36 hole event , he will play mainly on the European challenge tour this year we wish him all the best

I have managed to hit balls every day and have also been in the gym at home most days which feels good

I decided not to go to Thailand at the last minute as I was only just home after 5 weeks away so wanted this time at home

Dubai 4RD

73+1 today which wasn't exactly what I was looking for but overall I've no complaints ,  hit it ok first 12 holes but struggled to get it close , then really struggled off the tee coming in, hitting it left quite a bit , there was a little bit more wind today which made it a bit tougher

The course all week was magnificent especially the greens , I fly home in the early hours of tomorrow and have next week off which will be spent working hard with the putter
