I was at PLGC all morning as we had Flightscope and Trackman giving us a demo of their products, they were both very impressive. I then had a quick lesson with Andrew Locke to show him what I've been working on, which he said looked good. We all had check ups at the dentist in the afternoon, I needed a small filing and a polish. Craig passed his driving test this morning, which was great news. Well done pal.
A quiet day which was nice but unusual !!
I had meetings at PLGC with Craig from "We Film Golf" and then Ian from PRG who will be doing limited edition putters covers for us in a Scotland theme, which are going to be awesome. I then was into see Gillian aka the cruncher at night for my fortnightly session.
We had lunch at PLGC then I did some filming for a hogmany message, which took me a few takes of course .....pressure. I was at the Sports Village at night to hand out Christmas presents to our Foundation boys club, which has nearly 70 kids in it now. Well done to all the boys and huge thanks to all the parents and coaches for your help.
Michael and I hit balls in the morning then Marian and I went to Pittodrie for the Aberdeen v Kilmarnock game, which was a poor game and a poor result.
I hit balls in the morning then Marian and I had lunch with John Huggan at Deeside.
I had a meeting with Ken Cocker from Big Local App. Then Charlie from Royale Photographics took some photos for us to use in the teaching bays. I also managed to hit some balls at PLGC
I was at Cults academy first thing this morning to present the winners of our Foundation Schools Challenge and do a Q & A with everyone. I then popped into Simmons International to drop off some books. In the afternoon I was a Deeside Golf Club to be presented with a cheque for £20,500 for the Foundation which was the proceeds from the dinner at the Marcliffe which was attended by 388 members.
I was at PLGC this morning to film "My Special Day" with Sky Sports and a young lad called Thomas who's leg had to amputated because of cancer. Andrew Locke and I gave Thomas a lesson and some goodies to take away. Thomas was absolutely brilliant especially with what he's gone through and an inspiration to us all who meet him today. The programme will be shown on New Year's Day.
Marian and I then popped into Thistle Windows to sign some books then we had a meeting at the Marcliffe.
Craig and I were at the PLGC to hit some balls and play the PLGC Challenge on the Flightscope, which was good fun.
Marian and I were in the Bon Accord signing and selling my book, which went really well. We sold nearly 200, huge thanks to everyone who bought one.
I was in at CNR International offices in the morning to meet some staff and have a Q & A with them. Then Marian and I was at the crematorium for Alistair Eddie's funeral, which had a fantastic turnout and rightly so as he was a top bloke and will be sorely missed....RIP my friend.
In the evening we were up in Turriff for an evening at Morrison Motors to do a book signing and a Q & A, over 400 turned up. Huge thanks to Brian and Audrey and Eddie for organising it.
Marian and I left the house at 6 30am to drive down to Glasgow for a 10am meeting then I had a book signing at WH Smith which went well and was quite busy. John caven was in the queue so we had a coffee with him after, it was nice to catch up.
In the evening we had the "Sports Awards" dinner at the Thistle hotel which was a good night. Andy Murray was crowned the sports personality of the year and quite right to, he's had a fantastic year............huge congratulations. We drove straight home afterwards which was a bit dodgy around Gleneagles but thankfully two snow ploughs cleared the way, we made it home eventually at 2am.
Amazingly only three days ago I was sweating my b**** off in South Africa but this morning I was clearing my car of snow to take Michael to school. We had Phillip Barker our accountant up today for our yearly blue book meeting. Then I spent some time late afternoon working on my putting as my posture has gotten quite slumped lately so I worked on feeling taller at address.
Huge congrats to Celtic for qualifing for knock out stages of champions league.
This morning Marian and I were at Waterstones to sign some books for them and it was great to see that it is number 1 in their bestseller chart. We then had a meeting at PLGC with our architect and builder re some improvements. We had some lunch with Craig at Deeside and signed some books for members that Debbie had sold for us then it was over to the Hunting offices to sign books for staff and customers.
We left Sun City at 7pm for the short flight to Joburg then caught the 9.40pm BA flight to Heathrow, which was pretty bumpy but as ever I slept most of the way. The Aberdeen shuttle was delayed by an hour but we were home at 11.30am........quick shower then it was over to PLGC to sign some books that people had bought. We had a meeting with Robbie to catch up, then home for a chipper supper from Jumbos......bliss!
Got off to a good start this morning with birdies at the second and fourth holes but hit it straight right into the bush off the fifth and made triple bogey 7 then hit some lovely shots but again really struggled with the putter to shoot 74 and finish +1 overall to be 6th on my own. It has been a strange week as have struggled with the driver and putter but hit some lovely iron shots.
This is our final week for 2012 and what a week to finish off your year as this tournament is tough to beat huge thanks to Nedbank and Sun International for looking after us so well.
Hugely disappointing day anything that could have gone wrong did and of course putted awful again shot 75 +3 to be -1 overall and now 4 shots behind Martin Kaymer who played very well today. Spent some time putting afterward trying to stand closer which felt better so fingers crossed for tomorrow.
Paul lawrie news at ten hacked off hungry and grumpy.
Played lovely today to shoot 69 -3 to be four under overall and leading by one after 36 holes. It was a bit of a struggle off the tee again with some really wild drivers but again my iron play was superb and I putted much better there's still a long way to go but so far so good.
