I hit balls this morning working on my foot work, trying to lift my left heel slightly on the backswing (this helps to get my left knee working better) then rolling my right foot instead of it lifting on the downswing. I have managed to hit balls pretty much every day this week. I have also been busy hitting loads of putts, working on keeping my head still, by watching a spot on the ground just above the ball. It has been going really well. Marian, Michael and I were at Pittodrie today to watch a dire game in very cold conditions. We're all watching the X Factor now....come on Olly!!!
Saturday 19th December 2009Marian and I met our Paul Lawrie Foundation under 10's team at Pittodrie today for lunch and then to watch the game. Yet again the referee was shocking, no wonder their getting a hard time at the moment. The weather was also poor with a fair bit of snow and it was so so cold. Alan Reid and Paul Mitchell, our 10's coaches presented Marian and I with gifts from the parents and the boys which was very nice of them indeed.
Thursday 17th December 2009I drove down to Glasgow on Tuesday evening to stay at the Hilton, as I was seeing Bob Torrance early on Wednesday morning but Bob slept in which he tells me is the first time in 30 years. We worked on my backswing as it was getting a bit too outside going back but overall he was happy with the work I had done. In the afternoon I was back at the Hilton for the Scottish PGA lunch where I received an award for services to junior golf. It was really good with over 600 in attendance and it was great to catch up with some guys I hadn't seen for a long time. It was very nice to receive the award which means a lot to me. As I said in my speech I have a few dedicated people behind the scenes who make my Foundation work. I think we are starting to make a difference........long may it continue.

Monday 7th December 2009I was down in Glasgow on Thursday evening for the Sunday Mail Scottish Sports Awards where I presented David Law with 'Amateur Performance of the Year'. It was richly deserved as David has had a great year. I then met Marian at Gleneagles where we spent Friday night before travelling down to Troon for Alistair Forsyth's wedding at Loch Green House Hotel. It was a fantastic day which we both really enjoyed. We drove back home on Sunday morning.
Tuesday 1st December 2009I had a meeting with Ronnie Muir this morning re the Blairs College project. It was great to hear how much work is being done behind the scenes. I met Marian for lunch in town then headed home to hit balls and work on my putting for a while.
